Other information
Supplies
The club can usually provide playing equipment for you to use. However, since supplies are finite, please bring the following if possible:
- Deluxe Scrabble® board
- Protiles, if available, regular tiles if not
- Chess timer, preferably digital
- Two tile racks
- Three scoresheets (either from this site or make your own)
Fees and prizes
Saturday sessions cost $2.00 each and Tuesday sessions cost $1.00 each. Most of these fees are returned as prizes, which are awarded at each session. Saturday sessions also feature an optional rolling jackpot - score over 500 points and win the pot!
Information for new players
If you've never played at a Scrabble® club or tournament before, welcome! Your first ten games at our club (and the sessions in which they occur) are free of charge. Please see the rules page so you know what to expect, particularly the section for new players.
Observers
Interested in watching but not playing? Come observe a session or two to see if we can interest you further.
Students under 18
Students in all grade levels are welcome, though please be aware some words used in professional-level Scrabble® are offensive to certain individuals. In our realm they have no intrinsic meaning whatsoever. They are merely sequences of letters used to obtain as high a score as possible.
