How much does it cost?
New players don't pay any fees during their first two meetings. Everyone else pays either $1.50 or $3.00 per meeting depending on how many games they play.
| Games played | Reason | Cost | Eligible for prizes? |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Any | $1.50 | No |
| 2 | Late arrival / Early departure | $3.00 | No |
| 2 | Awarded bye | $3.00 | Yes |
| 3 | Any | $3.00 | Yes |
Things run more smoothly when everyone arrives on time and participates in all three games whenever possible. Players who help make this happen become eligible for prizes.
Prize schedule
Two-thirds of the entry fees collected at each meeting are awarded as a prize to the meeting's top finisher. The remaining one-third remains in the club's treasury for future use (tournament expenses, copying costs, surprise "bonus" prizes, and so on).
So for example, at a meeting where eight players show up on time and play all three games, the prize would be $16 and the club would retain $8.
Director's prize waiver statement
To avoid appearances of impropriety, whenever the club director wins a meeting's prize, those winnings will be deposited into the club treasury. All records are available for auditing upon request.
